Updates from the day. Russia continues to bomb Ukraine. They are squeezing Mariupol, ready to let the residence starve to death. Some good news, the US has something to address the issues in our immigration system for Ukrainian refugees. The reform will be that Ukrainians who apply, and have sponsors, will be allowed into the US while they await the decision for up to 2 years. The only issues with this are these people need US sponsors who will pledge financial responsibility for them (and needs to have enough money to support them) and said sponsor will have to successfully pass a background check. The other issue is that any Ukrainian applying for refugee status will need to be willing to relocate to the US for a more permanent solution. It's to get a US green card, not for a temporary safe haven.
